Teen Invents Innovative Device to Stop Mass Shooters in Their Tracks

The government in the USA is continuing to propose legislation regarding weapons following deadly shootings in schools. There has been talk about banning guns, providing teachers with firearms and training them to shoot and at the moment there is a great deal of divide. One of the reasons why the government is ineffective in regards to coming up with a solution to violence is that they speak in a language that is violence. Free Enterprise Solutions Have Value And Do Not Rely on Violence
The state does not have much by way of creativity and every idea they have is generally mandated with a gun barrel. An idea may be violent, it might be abhorrent or even immoral but if anyone is opposed to it they face being locked away, kidnapped or even killed. Almost every aspect of the functions of the government comes about due to a violent monopoly. The free enterprise solutions, on the other hand, are adopted due to the fact that people like them and more to the point, they work, and they do not need violence due to them having value.
One superb example of the free enterprise solutions that we are talking about is a high school kid that is innovative and lives in Wisconsin. He believes that he has come up with the ideal solution to stop the school shootings and this was many years ago. The cogs started whirling in his head but instead of trying to lobby the government to ban guns, he set to work and came up with the ideal solution instead. The JustinKase, or “just in case,” Is a Simple but Effective Device
Justin Rivard came up with a device that is simple but powerful and he calls it the JustinKase. The device is made of steel and it can latch onto the frame of a door and thus stop the door from opening. Once the device has been set in place it will not allow the door to be opened at all and this means that any staff and students in the room would remain safe while the police and emergency services arrived on the scene.
Rivard is a pupil at the Somerset High School in Wisconsin, and he said that he had called the device the JustinKase, as in, you never want to have to use it, but the device is there “just in case.” Impossible To Break Through Door When JustinKase Device Is Installed
The device is of a simple design that is made of steel plates with a connecting rod. The device can be put underneath the classroom door and latches onto the door jamb. Justin said that when the device has been put in place correctly he has not yet been able to find someone that can push the door open and this included the linebackers in the football team at his school. Justin pointed out that a door could be locked but that the lock could be shot out. His device, on the other hand, cannot be shot out and there is no way to get around it.
Justin saw the first sale of the device within his school when the school was so impressed with the device that they placed an order with him for 50 devices, which is one for every classroom in the school. The principal of the school said that they began with the devices in the high school then went on to supply them to the middle and elementary schools. Small Price for School Security
At the moment Justin is waiting to get his patent approved, and up to now he has managed to sell 54 of his devices within the Grantsburg School District, and another 40 deliveries are being planned. The device has a price tag of $95, and this is far cheaper than employing security or police and is a small price to pay for security in the classroom to stop gunmen walking in and open firing.
It seems that a bit of creativity and imagination is all that is needed and are tools that are more effective than any regulations or displays of brute force. Justin said that he always wondered how he might leave an impact on his school long after he graduated and now he knows how, with the JustinKase device.
