The test will take into account both subjective and objective evaluation of an employee’s performance during the year.
Maharashtra government is soon set to grade state employees based on their performance, according to a report in The Indian Express.
According to the report, 7.5 lakh state employees will go through a 100-point performance marking system that the general administration department has proposed.
The test will take into account both subjective and objective evaluation of an employee’s performance during the year.
The report adds that the new reviewing system will not disincentivise the employees who fair poorly. It will give public recognition and rewards for the good performers.
Based on the grades, state departments will be asked to identify top five percent employees across cadres as their top performers at the department, district and state level.
The state government has also planned to roll out cash rewards and perks for top performing employees besides giving them recognition and up scaling their involvement in decision making, the report adds.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s Office has already given the go-ahead to the new performance review system, sources have told the newspaper.
The plan is expected to be introduced from the coming financial year. State employees are also expecting the government to announce the Seventh Pay Commission pay hike in the state budget speech soon. http://www.stategovernmentnews.in/maharashtra-state-government-plans-grade-based-performance-review-7-5-lakh-state-employees/ 2018-01-29T08:44:31+00:00 admin Maharashtra 7th CPC,7th CPC pay hike,7th Pay Commission pay hike,Maharashtra state government news, performance review,Seventh Pay Commission pay hike Maharashtra state government plans grade-based performance review of 7.5 lakh state employees The test will take into account both subjective and objective evaluation of an employee’s performance during the year.
