In supersession of the Government Orders regulating the rate of room rents and guidelines for reservation. of room for Government servants and other dignitaries in Govt. Guest Houses in Kerala and Kerala House, Kanyakumari, Government are pleased to issue the following.
1 A Rates for Official Visit Sl. Rates in Rs per day Guest Houses Chief Justice of High Court, Kerala Vice Chairman, State Planning Board, Kerala Chairman, Kerala Administrative Reforms Chairman, Commission for Welfare of Forward Communities *

Judges of High Court of Kerala and other judicial officers Members of Planning Board, Kerala Chairman and Members of Kerala Administrative Tribunal Ombudsman, Lokayuktha, Upalokayuktha Chairpersons and Members of Statutory Commissions in the State MPs/MLAs from Kerala Chairman and Members of the Kerala Public Service Commission Corporation Mayors! Municipal Chairpersons/ Gazetted Officers of the Govt. of Kerala, Advocate General, Govt. leaders, Standing Counsels of Govt. of Kerala in the Supreme Court of India. 1. B Rates for Private Visits
Following categories are eligible for concessional rates for accommodation in Government Guest Houses specified for their private rates: Sl. Chief Justice and Retd. Judges of Supreme Court and High Courts of Kerala, Rtd. Chief Secretaries of Kerala Ex MPs, Ex-MLAs, Ex-Ministers from Kerala All Government Guest Houses in Kerala & Kerala House, Kanyakumari 3. Corporation Mayors/ Municipal Chairpersons! Presidents of District Panchayaths. Members of Planning Board, Kerala Chairman and Members of Kerala Administrative Tribunal, Kerala State Human Rights Commission, Kerala State Women Commission, Ombudsman, Lokayuktha, Upalokayuktha, Judicial officers other than Judges of Hon’ble High Court, Chairman and Members of all Statutory Commissions in the State. Employees of Govt. of Kerala/ Advocate General, Govt. Pleaders, Standing Counsels of Govt. of Kerala in the Supreme Court of India. Employees of the Govt. of Kerala on deputation to Central Govt. Including Public Sector Undertaking/Commissions. Non official Chairman / Secretary of the Board / Corporation and other statutory Government Organizations in Kerala. 1/3 of the normal room rent Kerala House, Kanyakumari and Govt Gueses in Kovalam, Ponmudi, Munnar Guruvayoor, Varkala, Sultan Batheri, Devikulam, Chemthurithi, Peemmedu, Malampuzha.
2. The employees of Government of Kerala will be levied 3/4,h of the normal room rent for their private stay in all Government Guest Houses other than those Guest Houses specified in S1. No.3 in Table 1.B (Rates for Private Visits) Retired Government employees of Kerala will be levied % of the normal rent for their stay in all Government Guest Houses.
3. All the categories of guests other than those mentioned in Table 1 A & 1 B will be levied the normal rate of rent prescribed from time to time.
4. The revised rates will take effect from 15.12.2017
Following guidelines are issued for the reservation of rooms in Government Guest Houses: Reservation of accommodation in Govt. Guest Houses shall be made 5 days in advance. Officers on official duty shall be given preference to those on private visits. Those wait listed in the allotment order may ascertain confirmation sufficiently early from the respective Guest House Managers. The Manager shall also, as far as possible make sure that the allottee turn up for stay, to avoid the chances that rooms are left vacant. If rooms cannot be allotted to the wait listed officers, the Manager Govt. Guest House concerned shall issue a certificate of non availability of room (as shown in Proforma Appendix-I) on a specific request with proof of official duty from the officer concerned. Those who fail to occupy the rooms on the first day of booking shall lose their chance for remaining days and those rooms shall be allotted from waiting lists. The check-in and check-out time for a particular day is 6 pm and 3 pm respectively. However rent will be levied on 24 hours basis. Late arrival after 6 pm without intimation to the Manager of the Guest House concerned amounts to forfeit of his/her booking. If no suites are available in the Guest Houses for accommodating ‘State Guests/Guests of Government due to advance bookings, they shall be accommodated in KTDC Hotels / Private Hotels. Manger, Govt. Guest Houses shall allot rooms, on the direction from Protocol Officers, to the officials who have to stay in Guest Houses, without prior booking during o
